Purpose
www.banverket.se is a prioritised channel in communication with external target groups. The channel shall contribute to increasing knowledge about and creating a positive image of Banverket and its operations. The channel shall also provide users with good service.
Target groups
This website is aimed in the first hand at the general public, future employees, the media, children and young people, and passengers.
Banverket also has an extranet, Banportalen, with information directed at customers, suppliers and other companies in the railway sector, and at those people in municipalities, county councils and organisations who deal with railway matters.
Content
The website has four top menus:
The railway - this is where you can find information on basic facts about the railway network, traffic information, and information about safety, chemical handling and environment.
Current projects – information about the different construction projects run by Banverket. You can search by province (län) and by line in order to find current projects.
Media – Banverket’s press releases can be found here. In addition, you can find a picture archive and information on Banverket’s press service.
About Banverket – information about Banverket’s assignments, operations and management, about Banverket as an employer, and information directed at children and young people. You can also order material from Banverket here.
On each page there are links to a site map, contact details, an order function, a search function, an easy to read page, and a way to easily find Banverket’s other websites.
At the foot of the page there is a page-print function.
Browser
The HTML code is validated to XHTML 1.0 Transitional, and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) 2.0. This means that the website is readable with all newer versions of browsers that support these standards.
Pdf documents
